This Continuing Education class is open to Certified Advanced Rolfers™ only, with Instructor Approval.
The most complex articular and myofascial relationships in the body occur in the spine and rib cage. These are some of the deepest layers of the myofascial/articular system. As the work of Rolfing progresses in our clients, sooner or later it becomes necessary to address this layer of chronic compensations.
This workshop will provide an assessment and intervention protocol for releasing restrictions in this system. The work will be done in a way that is consistent with the manual style of working that is Rolfing and the body wide integration that is the outcome of good Rolfing.
Michael Salveson was trained as a Rolfer by Dr. Rolf in 1969. In 1971 he attended the first Advanced Rolfing Training offered by Dr. Rolf. At that time he was chosen by Dr. Rolf to be the third of the five instructors she would train. Michael was president of the Rolf Institute from 1978 - 1982. Michael has been teaching Rolfing for 43 years.
Michael has a full time Rolfing practice in Berkeley California. He has been influenced by a 15 year study of the analytical psychology of Carl Jung and a 25 year practice of Taoist martial arts.
Dr.Georgette Delvaux D.C is a Certified Advanced Rolfer and has been practicing Rolfing for 38 years. After practicing Rolfing for 10 years, she attended Life Chiropractic College West and graduated cum laude. She has assisted Michael Salveson teaching this workshop in Bologna Italy in 2018. She practices Rolfing and Cranio-Sacral Therapy in Berkeley California. Michael and Georgette have been married for 39 years.
