Michigan Downtown Association - Event Information

Event Name:Lansing Day and Spring Workshop
Description:MDA Lansing Day
Wednesday, March 11, 2020
Registration 10:30am
Michigan Municipal League Building
208 North Capitol Avenue, Lansing, MI 48933

The MDA’s annual Lansing Day is an opportunity for members to meet their state legislators and share the MDA’s current legislative concerns. Personally talking to your legislators helps to make the representatives more effective advocates for their communities at the state level. MDA member participation in Lansing Day is critical. With new legislators now in office, this is an especially important time for you to connect and for the MDA to be visible!

Last year, 35 legislators joined us for lunch and the conversations were amazing!  After, MDA members went in groups of 3 to visit individual representatives in his/her office for a more intimate conversation.  Connecting and forging strong relationships with your representatives is extremely important for the future of your downtown.

Registration for Lansing Day includes lunch.

The MDA Spring Workshop follows the annual Lansing Day and takes place on Thursday, March 12 in downtown Lansing at Cooley Law School Stadium's 'The View'.  Registration for both Lansing Day and Spring Workshop may be combined for a discounted amount.  You will be able to register for both as you proceed through the online registration.
