Take a moment to get to know our Keynote and Plenary Speakers:
Sunday evening’s Keynote with Dr. Randall VanWagoner promises to be insightful as we hear from a community college president with a background in IR. Check out his blog post Finding Strength and Value in Data to get to know Dr. VanWagoner and his approach to leadership and using data to achieve success.
Monday’s Plenary with Dr. Christopher Shults will challenge each of us to consider our impact as leaders at our institutions. Dr. Shults will use a case study to engage attendees and ask questions throughout his presentation for attendees to consider and discuss. Please take the time before his session to read the case study. It is available on the NEAIR website and within Yapp (under More > Program Info) to download to your device.
It’s not too late to add a workshop. See the line-up on the Pre Conference Workshop Page and contact Beth Simpson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 302-559-5638 to add or change workshops. Please note that some of the technical workshops require software downloads.
Dress and Weather Update: NEAIR conference attire is business casual. The forecast projects low 50s but chilly (lower 40s/30s) at night, with a slight chance of showers forecasted for Saturday. Be sure to bring some good walking shoes, because Jersey City and nearby Manhattan are worth the walk. The hotel is also right next to the PATH train to Manhattan, the Newport Centre shopping mall, and a number of attractions nearby. Here is a link to helpful tips about all modes of travel to Jersey City and some suggestions for things to see and do https://www.neair.org/local_arrangements_info.php.
The Westin chef is preparing delicious meals that reflect the varied heritage of New Jersey and New York. For our gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian & vegan attendees, the conference menu is labeled for your convenience and can be accessed within Yapp and at the NEAIR website https://www.neair.org/conference_menu.php
A Word About Our EXHIBITOR SPONSORS: Without their support, this conference would not be affordable. Our exhibitors want to be part of the conversation so they can provide services and products that meet your institution’s needs. Please take time to talk with them during the conference and to thank them for their support. Once again, there will be a raffle for a $300 Visa gift card. Have engaging conversations with an Exhibitor and get a raffle ticket; the more exhibitors you talk to the more raffle tickets you get and the higher probability of winning!
