Event Name:Regulatory Changes to Facilitate Reuse in the Mid-Atlantic Region
Description:Presentation 1: "EPA's Underground Injection Control Program and Aquifer Recharge Wells" 
Jill will be discussing EPA's Underground Injection Control program in the context of implementing regulations for aquifer recharge wells in Virginia. Jamie will provide a case study of water reuse through aquifer recharge in a discussion of HRSD's Sustainable Water Initiative for Tomorrow (SWIFT). 

Presentation 2: "Maryland's Water Reuse Initiative & Revised Reclaimed Water Quality Regulations" 
Although the Maryland Department of Environment (MDE) has enabled the safe reuse of water for decades, including industrial uses, power plant cooling and irrigation on farms and golf courses, additional avenues remain to be pursued. Dr. Jim George will describe an initiative to ensure that Maryland is well positioned to support additional water reuse opportunities. Dr. Tien Ching-Tzone will describe MOE regulations being revised to include the Class IV reclaimed water quality standard, Class IV Reclaimed Water Guidelines and several related projects.
