Centennial Water and Sanitation District serves over 95,000 customers in the community of Highlands Ranch, CO and adjoining portions of northern Douglas County. Centennial operates a complete water and wastewater utility including surface-water reservoirs, treatment facilities, transmission, distribution, storage, and wastewater collection system.

CWSD is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician I to join its Plant Maintenance Department. A successful candidate’s duties include performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks necessary to maintain equipment and structures used in the storage and processing of water and wastewater.



Qualifications:
Desired applicants will have experience with industrial / mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, HVAC, forklifts, personnel lifts, and general knowledge of building maintenance. A High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. A Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record are also required. Additionally, applicants are encouraged to obtain a Colorado Commercial Class A Driver’s License with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Having any current Colorado Water, Wastewater, Collection, Distribution certifications is a plus.

Rotating “on call” shifts are required for this position and applicants must be able to respond to emergency calls within approximately thirty (30) minutes.


Comments:
Hiring salary range is $22.19 to $26.63 per hour. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.


Pre-employment drug screening and background checks, including driving record, will be conducted.
