POSITION: Class A Water Plant (Full-time) plus benefits
DEPARTMENT: Public Works Dept. within the Water Divisions.

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Public Works Director, supervises the operation and maintenance of the Town’s water treatment facilities to purify and clarify water for human consumption in a manner that exceeds State required minimums. Serves as Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) of the Town’s Water Treatment Plant.
The Superintendent will be responsible for the maintenance, administrative record keeping, care, scheduling and supervision of operators for the Town’s Water plant along with the distribution and at times some of the collection system.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: The position requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented with course work in water/wastewater treatment or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The selected candidate must have a Class A Colorado Water Certificate, also a Water Distribution Class II Certificate.
Town also prefers the candidate to have a Wastewater Collection Class II Certificate within 2 years of hire.
