Hiring salary range is $22.19 to $27.96 per hour. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Centennial Water and Sanitation District serves over 95,000 customers in the community of Highlands Ranch, CO and adjoining portions of northern Douglas County. Centennial operates a complete water and wastewater utility including surface-water reservoirs, treatment facilities, transmission, distribution, storage, and wastewater collection system.

CWSD is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to join its Plant Maintenance Department. A successful candidate’s duties include performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks necessary to maintain equipment and structures used in the storage and processing of water and wastewater.

Desired applicants will have experience with industrial / mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, HVAC, forklifts, personnel lifts, and general knowledge of building maintenance. A High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. A Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record are also required. Additionally, applicants are encouraged to obtain a Colorado Commercial Class A Driver’s License with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Having any current Colorado Water, Wastewater, Collection, Distribution certifications is a plus.

Rotating “on call” shifts are required for this position and applicants must be able to respond to emergency calls within approximately thirty (30) minutes.

Pre-employment drug screening and background checks, including driving record, will be conducted.
