The City & County of Broomfield is currently accepting applications for one vacancy in our Stormwater Division. The position can be filled as either a Stormwater Worker or a Stormwater Technician depending on education and experience of the candidate.

This is full-time position is regularly scheduled 40 hours/week, 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday and will also require some night and weekend hours. Position includes excellent benefits.

Stormwater Technician
Salary Range $24.15-$34.10
Hiring Range $24.15-$29.13

Stormwater Worker
Salary Range $16.30-$22.20
Hiring Range $16.30-$19.25

Qualifications:
Stormwater Technician
Training - Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of an Associate's degree in environmental science, watershed science, natural/environmental resources, biology, or a related field.

Experience - One year of experience in stormwater, industrial pretreatment, wastewater treatment, utility construction inspection, watershed science, natural resources or biological systems.

Stormwater Worker
Training - High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience - None.

Necessary Special Requirements - Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record for continued employment. Must test at each eligible testing cycle until he/she has obtained the Class "D" Wastewater Plant Operator's Certificate from the State of Colorado. New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: oral board, reference checks, criminal background check, sex-offender registry, and driving record check through DMV.
