GENERAL STATEMENT/ ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for strategy, forecasting, planning, and overall performance of the Operations, Maintenance, and RR&R departments. Key responsibilities include oversight of the aligning efforts to the strategic goals and direction of the District, streamlining operational processes to meet regulations, and the maintaining service levels for the District's service area.

TYPICAL DUTIES:
Oversee the leadership of the Operations, Maintenance, and RR&R Departments to ensure alignment with the strategic direction of the District. Develop and direct the management of the Operations, Maintenance, and RR&R departments to ensure the reliability of facilities, equipment, and business processes.
Work with District Manager to forecast, plan, prepare, and monitor the strategic and operational needs of the water treatment and bio-solids programs at the District. Develop and oversee the operation and capital budgets that pertain to Operations, Maintenance, and RR&R departments.
Participates in the Executive Team of the District to establish the District's overall vision, mission, values, beliefs, and strategic goals. Develop cascading goals for the different departments that tie directly to the strategic needs of the District. Provide long-term objectives to drive efficiencies, information sharing, and cross-functional teams.
Maintains awareness of both internal and external areas of concern, such as safety needs, productivity levels, interactions with connector organizations, and political issues that might impact the District. Serve as point of contact with government officials in relationship to plant operations and bio-solid program. Represents the District at industry conferences and stakeholder meetings.
Report and share information with the board to ensure they are kept fully informed on progress in the Operation, Maintenance, and RR&R departments.
Implements the District's Critical Incident Response Plan and serves as Critical Incident Commander for the District.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business or related field. Eight years of progressive responsibility leading a diverse workforce in the operation of a facility or organization. Four years of senior leadership experience providing supervision to supervisors and managers. Class A Wastewater certification. Experience tying organizational goals to department policies and practices. Experience interacting and communicating with a board of directors.

Equivalency
Equivalency equals two years of directly related professional experience for every year of education not completed. The stated experience requirement is in addition to any experience used to meet the education equivalency.

Desired Qualifications
Experience working as a senior director in the water industry for a large diverse work group. PMP Certification. Lean Six Sigma training or certification. Familiarity with Colorado permit and water regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
