Clifton Sanitation District is currently adding two additional Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator positions to their workforce and are seeking highly motivated and outgoing individuals to fill them. These full-time positions perform a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and non-skilled technical duties in the operation and maintenance of the District’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. Additional duties, dependent upon qualifications, can include CMMS Management, Pretreatment, Instrumentation, Integration, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Electrical and/or Collection System work such as Camera Inspection, Jetting, and Construction Inspections.

Qualifications:
Preferred candidates should have a Level A, B, C or D Wastewater certification, a minimum of two years’ experience in water or wastewater treatment facility operations, plus a high school diploma (or equivalent), supplemented by college level courses in chemistry or related fields. One must be capable of performing math and chemistry calculations and laboratory testing procedures. Working knowledge of SCADA, plus computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows preferred. Must also possess a valid Colorado driver’s license and have the ability to obtain a Colorado CDL license within six months of hire. Any combination of experience, training, and education that provides the required knowledge and abilities is preferred but willing to train the right candidate. It is important to have good verbal and written communication skills and be a self-starter. Must live or relocate to within 15-30 minutes of system boundaries to respond to emergency call duties and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Salary: Non-exempt $17.70/Hr. - $31.23/Hr. Dependent Upon Qualifications
