This non-exempt position is responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and manual work involved in the maintenance, installation, and repair of the District's water distribution, sewer collection systems, and operation and maintenance of the well system. These responsibilities apply to operators uncertified through Class 4 Certifications. Minimum of Class 1 Collection, Class 1 Distribution, and Class D Water Treatment certifications are required within two testing cycles of hiring date.

Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled duties involved in the inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and servicing of wells, collection and distribution equipment, components, facilities and machinery.
- Inspects and maintains pumps, valves, motors and other equipment located in pump stations, wells and other points within the water distribution and transmission system.
- Maintenance of District facilities, to include well and pumping stations, equipment and systems, and other tasks as assigned by Lead Operator.
- Carries out water collection and distribution system maintenance, may include but not limited to; tracing and repairing leaks.

Qualifications:
Experience requirements range from zero to multiple years. Certification requirements range from none at time of hire to a Class D Water Treatment, Class 4 Collection, and Class 4 Distribution certifications. If the employee has no treatment, collections, or distribution certification at hire, they must acquire a Class D certification in Water Treatment or a Class 1 certification in Distribution within two testing cycles of hiring date.

Must have, or be able to obtain within one year, a valid Colorado Class A CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsement and removal of airbrake restriction. Must have a Motor Vehicle Record within the Acceptable or no less than Borderline rating according to the Vehicle Policy.

Comments:
Hiring range: $21.10-$31.10/hour dependent on prior knowledge, experience and certifications. Excellent benefits include health, dental, vision and life insurance plus retirement plans.
