The Niwot Sanitation District is looking to fill the full-time position of Wastewater Operator for the .98 MGD treatment plant.

The District is seeking someone who is a self-starter, detail oriented, dedicated, has a positive attitude, good work ethic, good organization skills, and can work well with a small team.This individual will be included in the District on-call weekend/holiday rotation. This position will be the Operator in Responsible charge and will be responsible for the supervision and training of other operators.

This individual will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the treatment plant and collection system. The duties include performing daily plant checks, maintenance of the headworks, aeration basin, clarifier, biosolids basin, chlorination units and lift stations. Maintain and service pumps, filter, blowers, chlorinator and other equipment. Assist with line locates, manholes inspections, service line inspections, collection system maintenance and repairs, customer backups and follow-up. Assist with maintenance of buildings and grounds. This individual will ensure that SOP's are followed and up-to-date

Qualifications:
Class B Wastewater Certification or higher
Minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory position at a wastewater treatment facility
Computer proficient
High school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license and have a clean motor vehicle record
Live within 30 minutes of the District boundaries in order to respond to emergency call outs
Will be required to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Salary range is $25.30 - $35.00 depending on experience and certifications.
