Water Quality Control Professionals LLC, a contract operations company, is seeking a class B operator to oversee and maintain multiple water/wastewater facilities. The facilities are in Clear Creek, Summit, Eagle, Lake and Chaffee counties.
The drinking water surface water facilities are membrane ultra-filtration, cartridge filtration and slow sand filtration. The groundwater facilities are well and chlorination. The operator will be responsible for performing scheduled site inspections, routine maintenance, collecting water quality samples, performing visual storage tank inspections, maintaining cross connection plans, creating and maintaining SOP’s, attending sanitary surveys with CDPHE, completing and submitting monthly operational reports, etc.
The wastewater facilities are SBR, lagoon, IFAS Bio-wheel and advanced septic treatment systems. The operator will be responsible for performing scheduled site inspections, collecting water quality samples, making operational changes based on process control testing, creating and maintaining SOP’s, performing routine maintenance, completing and submitting DMRs into netDMR, etc.


Qualifications:
Requirements;
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience with water water/wastewater treatment
• Valid Colorado driver’s license
• Successful completion of driving record and criminal background checks
• Class C Water or Wastewater certification with the ability to achieve a class B within 6 months
• Availability for after hour emergencies
• Knowledge of the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act
• An understanding of CDPHE policy and regulations
• Good work ethic
• Eagerness to learn new skills
• Fluency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office.
