The Liberty Mid-Atlantic High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (LMA HIDTA) program is seeking a Strategic Intelligence Analyst to provide analysis of crime and health data, intelligence reporting, and open source information. The analyst will leverage analytical insights to enhance multidisciplinary partners' situational awareness of the local drug environment and any relevant regional, national, and international drug-related trends through written products, oral briefings, and presentations.

Program
The LMA HIDTA is a grant program funded through the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Through 33 regions nationwide, the HIDTA program strives to reduce drug availability, use and their negative consequences by disrupting and dismantling drug trafficking and money laundering organizations and facilitating information sharing partnerships. LMA HIDTA accomplishes these goals via two dozen enforcement task forces comprised of over 50 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, and an Investigative Support Center (ISC) whose intelligence analysts lend analytical support to criminal investigations and supply health and safety partners with actionable insights on critical and emerging drug-related trends. HIDTA is positioned at the forefront of the response to the opioid epidemic and sits at a critical crossroad among law enforcement and public health partners. Responsibilities
-Gather and analyze relevant data and information in support of intelligence requirements
-Leverage intelligence/investigative databases, analytical software programs, and open sources
-Author articulate, succinct, timely, and accurate intelligence reporting derived from analysis
-Liaise among law enforcement and public health partners to grow information sharing posture
-Contribute insights to senior staff and affiliated partners, task forces, and working groups


Qualifications:
Requirements
-Bachelor's Degree required, and 2+ years of intelligence experience in law enforcement or the military; or, Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Analytics, or related field
-Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and obtain a SECRET security clearance
-Reside in Pennsylvania, or establish Pennsylvania residency within 6 months of employment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Knowledge of/experience in analytical and research techniques
-Familiarity with intelligence and investigative information systems
-Experience at analyzing complex and voluminous data and information
-Strong writing and oral communication skills; ability to interact at all levels of an organization
-Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel (Tableau a plus)
