Intelligence Analyst II
The Liberty Mid-Atlantic High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (LMA HIDTA) program is seeking a Strategic Intelligence Analyst to provide analysis of crime and health data, intelligence reporting, and open source information. The analyst will leverage analytical insights to enhance multidisciplinary partners' situational awareness of the local drug environment and any relevant regional, national, and international drug-related trends through written products, oral briefings, and presentations.
The LMA HIDTA is a grant program funded through the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Through 33 regions nationwide, the HIDTA program strives to reduce drug availability, use and their negative consequences by disrupting and dismantling drug trafficking and money laundering organizations and facilitating information sharing partnerships. LMA HIDTA accomplishes these goals via two dozen enforcement task forces comprised of over 50 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, and an Investigative Support Center (ISC) whose intelligence analysts lend analytical support to criminal investigations and supply health and safety partners with actionable insights on critical and emerging drug-related trends. HIDTA is positioned at the forefront of the response to the opioid epidemic and sits at a critical crossroad among law enforcement and public health partners.
