Principal Accountabilities

1.Leads and manages the NJ TRANSIT Police Department’s law enforcement intelligence programs, including crime analysis, COMPSTAT, and terrorism threat analysis. Responsible for the collection, analysis, production and dissemination of current and relevant intelligence on criminal and terrorism threats to NJ TRANSIT in support of police operations, investigations, and system security programs.
2.Coordinates the sharing of finished and unfinished intelligence between NJ TRANSIT Police and federal, state and local law enforcement and intelligence agencies and task forces as required.
3.Responsible for specialized security technology and video systems to counter terrorism and criminal threats.
4.Develops, manages and conducts internal and external security risk management programs that analyze the risk of terrorist attack to NJ TRANSIT. Utilizes past NJ TRANSIT risk assessments conducted by DHS for NJ TRANSIT, and develops new risk assessments to support a comprehensive risk management program that analyzes critical asset identification, intelligence-based threats, security vulnerabilities, weapon impact assessments, agency and regional response capabilities, and system security risk.
5.Handles special projects as requested by the Chief of Police to support police department and system security programs
6.Represents the Chief of Police and the department on interagency working groups and committees and serves as a technical advisor to the NJTPD Grant Programs.


Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public or Business Administration or related area, and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in anti-terrorism/counter-terrorism analysis, law enforcement intelligence analysis, security risk analysis and management, security planning and security cost benefit analysis. Transportation security experience desired. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Proficiency with DHS and LE unclassified and classified intelligence systems, including LEO and HSIN. Must poses a current and active SECRET Clearance from DOD, DHS or FBI. Must be available to work when needed during but not limited to emergencies, weekends and holidays; also some traveling may be involved. Must be able to pass a NJ TRANSIT Police Background Check.

Salary $124,000-$140,000
