Our Operators provide critical support to our mission of “Sustaining our community by providing safe, reliable water” by applying their knowledge and experience in plant operations, distribution, instrumentation and minor facility equipment maintenance.
JOB LOCATION: 21850 Frontage Rd., Brighton CO
TARGET HIRING PAY RANGE for “C” - “A” Water Operator Certification: $21-$33/hr depending on qualifications and experience.
SCHEDULE:
Winter Schedule Oct to May - 2 operators work Mon-Thu 10 hr shift (No Weekends)
• 2 operators work Tues-Fri 10 hrs shift (No Weekends)
• On call operator will monitor from home (on call once every 5 weeks)
Summer Schedule May to Oct - 2 Operators work Mon-Wed 10 hr shift & work every other weekend
• 2 Operators work Wed-Fri 10 hr shift and work every other weekend
• On call operator will monitor from home (on call once every 5 weeks)
SHIFT TIMES: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (No night shifts)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operation of a Reverse Osmosis Purification Facility including Ultra Violet disinfection.
• Ensures compliance of all State and EPA Regulations.
• Monitors raw water flow rates, finish water flow rates and chemical dosing.
• Performs water quality analysis.
• Utilizes Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) for operations and monitoring of plant performance.
• Maintains plant equipment, raw water pumping equipment and distribution equipment to ensure proper operation of the treatment facility.

Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
• Class “C” Water Treatment Operator Certification or higher and the ability to obtain a Class “A” in 2 test cycles
• 2+ years’ of experience working in a water treatment facility with 1+ years of experience working in a Class A water treatment plant installing, maintaining, and operating equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of local, state and federal regulations relating to water operations, including collection and distribution systems.
• Knowledge and understanding of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, on-call rotation and overtime.
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and background check.
• Class 3 Distribution Certification and Class 3 Collection Certification preferred.
