Widefield Water and Sanitation District (WWSD) is offering an exciting opportunity in Colorado Springs, Colorado. WWSD is seeking a Wastewater Lead Operator with Class A Certification (preference will be given to applicants who possess a Class A and a Class 4 Certification). Successful candidates need a minimum of five years of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of a wastewater treatment plant and collection system including some lead or supervisory responsibility. Individuals with a Class B Certification may be considered with the ability to obtain a Class A in one year and meets all other requisites. The District is looking for a leader who takes pride in their work, their team, the company and themselves. The Wastewater Manager hopes that the Lead Operator is a person who may be interested and considered to promote to the Wastewater Department Manager when he retires in 3-5 years.

The District’s Wastewater Plant is scheduled to be upgraded in 2019 to include biological nutrient and phosphorus removal.
