Job description
The Williamsport Municipal Water Authority is accepting applications for a Water Treatment Plant Superintendent. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or technology related to water treatment or utility operations, or High School diploma plus two year associate technical degree, or equivalent experience. Appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. Possession of a Class AE subclasses 1, 7, 8, 10, and 11 PaDEP Operator Certificate or the ability to obtain within one year and a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is a requirement.

This is a management position responsible for the direct supervision of the daily and long-range operations of a water treatment plant. Typical tasks include the supervision of the plant personnel, making daily process control decisions to meet established treatment goals, accurate compliance monitoring and reporting, planning and directing preventative maintenance and minor plant improvement/modification projects.

Pay:
· Determined by experience and qualifications
· Regular Increases

Position requires working beyond the normal work week to supervise personnel, respond to emergencies, and to be available on an on-call basis as assigned.

It is required that the successful candidate resides in or in proximity to the service area to be available for appropriate response to emergencies in a timely fashion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
