The Fusion Center Analyst Position will provide support to the North Florida Fusion eXchange (NFFX) and the
Florida State University Police Department (FSUPD) by collecting, evaluating, analyzing, and producing
intelligence on crime trends and threats through the application of extensive analytical research and
interpretive skills, the use of numerous investigative, intelligence and informational sources/databases, and
engagement with interagency fusion liaisons.
Research and collect information, intelligence reports, and investigative reports to identify trends, threats,
vulnerabilities, tactics, and techniques with potential impact to the area of responsibility. Assess source and
information reliability and validity. Review, evaluate, and analyze current investigative and intelligence data,
current events, publications, and online postings related to criminal activity, crime trends, and the impact of
specific crime types within the area of responsibility.
Prepare analytical briefs, assessments, and other products based on experience and analysis both
independently and as part of a group. Present analytical findings via charts, graphics, written documents, and
oral briefings. Generate hypotheses based on both collected data and analytical and professional judgement.
Identify gaps in information and propose recommendations.
Develop and maintain liaisons within the law enforcement community at Federal, State, County, and
Municipal levels to share information on criminal activities or suspected criminals under investigation.
Respond to information requests from other law enforcement agencies. Attend and support various
intelligence unit meetings in collaboration with Federal, State, County, and Municipal law enforcement units.
Collaborate in the development, implementation and evaluation of crime response and reduction strategies,
goals and objectives. Measure progress against plans. Testify in disciplinary hearings or court proceedings as
required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field with two years of experience in investigations, law
enforcement, analyst, or a related field or; a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience in
investigations, law enforcement, analyst, or a related field. (Note: post high-school education and/or
experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
