This responsible position supports the North Florida Regional Domestic Security Task Force and the City’s public safety efforts. The role performs professional crime data analysis and intelligence research to aid domestic security, improve criminal apprehension, and support crime prevention programs.

What You\'ll Do
• Review, verify, classify, and analyze offense reports and crime data to identify trends and patterns
• Provide analytical support for Regional Threat Assessments and vet suspicious activity reports to the Florida Fusion Center
• Prepare link charts, timelines, bulletins, and reports on domestic security issues
• Maintain suspect, offender, and special crime data files; transmit data to reporting systems
• Submit reports worthy of investigation to the NFRDSTF or Criminal Investigation Division
• Conduct research and statistical analysis for special projects and crime studies
• Attend meetings, training, and events supporting the NFRDSTF mission
• Respond to public inquiries regarding crime trends and burglary rates

Qualifications:
Minimum Training & Experience
• Possession of a bachelor’s degree in criminology, criminal justice, sociology, accounting, business or public administration, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
• Experience that includes data review and analysis, computer mapping (GIS), or research may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years of the required education.
