Seeking an experienced Water or Wastewater Operator for our Fort Lupton, CO project who wants to advance to a project manager in the near future.

CH2M Operates the cities 2.75 MGD Oxidation Ditch Wastewater Treatment Plant, 3 lift stations, 5 groundwater wells, and a 5 MGD Membrane Filtration Water Treatment Plant.

Job Description

• Job requires Operator to perform process control testing, NPDES and Clean Water Act sampling, mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on all process areas. The project operates under strict safety and compliance protocols.
• Operations Supervisor will be responsible for day to day operations of the water treatment facility. Including scheduling work, ensuring sampling and testing are completed, working with maintenance staff on critical equipment repairs, reviewing SOP’s, JSA’s, MOR’s and other documents.
• Will work with compliance staff to ensure that all Reg 11 and Reg 100 required documentation is submitted in a timely manner and that all staff adhere to those requirements.
• Will work with engineering staff on Design Build Opportunity at a neighboring community and develop budget, SOP’s, JHA’s and all compliance schedules.
• Diagnoses operating problems and directs effective correction procedures.
• Analyzes recording instrument readings and laboratory test results and adjusts various processes accordingly
• Inspects plant to determine efficiency of operations, cleanliness and maintenance activities
• Supervises and trains employees
• Determines remedial action in emergencies
• Prepare reports and maintains records
• Assists Project Manager in conducting ongoing safety program
• Will act as project manager in the absence of the project manager.
• Must be a team player willing to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing to accept Project Management Position in the near future
• Performs other duties as required




Qualifications:
Class A Water and/or Wastewater Operators License or Class B with the requirement to obtain an A within 4 test cycles.
