The Department of Public Safety seeks to hire a Crime Information Analysis Manager to our Information Analysis
team. The incumbent in this position will manage and lead the review and analysis of crime and threat information;
interpret and advise department and university leadership concerning patterns and trends; oversee the preparation
and dissemination of information products; and advise leadership concerning data collection, resource deployment,
crime prevention, and crime forecasting. The Manager, Crime Information Analysis also manages the daily
operations of the Information Analysis Unit, evaluates staffing and resource needs, assigns projects, reviews and
approves completed work, and evaluates analyst productivity and work output.


Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Criminal Justice, or related field from an accredited college or university,
including coursework in statistics, data analysis, research methods, and theories of crime/criminal behavior
required. Six (6) to eight (8) years of Crime/Intelligence/GIS analyst or related conducting analytical, social
science, or statistical research. Two (2) to three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in
public safety services or public agency setting.
Experience using statistical computer programs, computer databases, electronic spreadsheets, geo-spatial analysis
programs, visual/link analysis programs, and desktop publishing.
