NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Work week will be 43 hours, Monday - Friday, and subject to emergency call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: Yes. Must live in or be willing to relocate to Charleston, Berkeley, or Dorchester County.

AGENCY SPECIFIC APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Responsibility:
Under limited supervision, function as a SLED Agent/Analyst and ALPR Coordinator for the SC Fusion Center, while working out of the Interagency Operation Center (IOC).

Specific Duties:
Operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment using a variety of databases and search tools to support federal, state and local law enforcement. Assist with multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional operations.

Perform training, presentations and analysis as requested and as needed. Continue the ALPR program and maintain statistics for partnering agencies. Handle requests from federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Assist with multi-jurisdictional operations conducted on the port and on the water.

Provide related duties in support of criminal investigations and general law enforcement duties as required. Assist in joint operations with Fusion Center partners.

Coordinate and conduct training on the ALPR to federal, state and local law enforcement. Record and maintain all statistical data in regards to ALPR equipment as per DHS requirements.

Work independently, or as part of a team or task force, gather information related to specific criminal, terrorist, or administrative investigations, and disseminate the information in an effective and efficient manner.

Act as a liaison for the SC Fusion Center and the IOC.

Perform various support tasks relating to criminal intelligence, missing person matters, and/or regulatory services. Perform other related duties as required.



This position involves critical duties and responsibilities that must continue to be performed during crisis situations and contingency operations. Responsiveness may require certain special considerations, such as extended overnight travel and rotational hours of work.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge in the maritime field.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree.

Class I law enforcement certification through the SC Criminal Justice Academy

At least three years of experience in intelligence or research analysis (emphasis intelligence).

Experience using programs and technology such as databases, excel, publisher, I-2, Analyst Notebook, CrimeNtel, etc.

Significant analytical skills; ability to perform analysis and evaluate raw data from all sources to determine criminal or terrorist activities.

Strong working knowledge of SLED's Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) Program.

Skilled in written and verbal communications; thorough knowledge of South Carolina Law, and the ability to work well with other agencies and private sector partners.
