Clifton Sanitation District is seeking to fill a Wastewater Utility Maintenance Mechanic position. The position performs technical duties and responsibilities in the maintenance, repair, service and installation of equipment and machinery in wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and related facilities; to operate and maintain equipment; to fabricate and weld parts and equipment; and to perform a variety of duties relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:
Job Requirements: Valid Colorado Driver’s License. Valid Colorado Class B CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Ability to respond to emergency situations.

Work Experience in Positions Similar or Related to This Job: Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in industrial equipment maintenance or with industrial electronics / controls equipment. Familiarity with high horsepower electric motors (480V), large capacity pumps, and hydraulic systems or PLC programming, telemetry equipment, and motor control circuitry preferred. Experience in class A or B water or wastewater treatment plant preferred. Must live or relocate to within 15-30 minutes of system boundaries to respond to emergency call duties and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
