The Halton Regional Police is a progressive Service that is stepping forward as a leader in the emerging field of police analytics. We are seeking a Police Analytics Specialist (Continuing/ Permanent Full time) with experience in statistics, business analysis, SQL, and web development using PHP. You will be playing a critical role in our small but fast paced office as we help to advance the discipline of data-driven law enforcement analysis. This is a rewarding position for an ambitious analyst with excellent problem solving skills.

Qualifications:
Skills and Requirements

• University undergraduate degree in an analytical discipline such as Math, Economics, Computer Science, Physics or Engineering
• Minimum 5 years progressive related specialized analytical experience
• Demonstrated ability (experience) in R, Python, NumPy/ SciPy, Excel and Excel Visual Basics for Applications (VBA) are considered an asset
• Real-world development and programming experience with PHP language skills and familiarity with the MS SQL database platform

Comments:
The salary range for this position is $82,158 to $92,293.
