POSITION DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The successful candidate for this position will analyze and interpret calls for service and report information to note relationships and patterns, prepare conclusions and make forecasts based on data analysis. detailed research and analysis of criminal intelligence information (suspect, financial, phone, etc.) Work involves analyzing and developing links between criminals and/or crime groups and criminal activity. The position is responsible for applying principles of analysis/intelligence research to interpret information regarding its impact on the criminal investigative process. Reports created from analysis/intelligence are used to develop proactive measures in enforcing crime to provide information for monthly Beat Accountability meetings and to create the Department's annual report. Import data to create various maps using the GIS crime mapping system. Provide statistical data/reports as requested in order to fulfill the Department's mission.


Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include but not limited to: excellent computer skills with knowledge of applications/software; Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Access experience are essential. A working knowledge of Crystal Reports, Adobe professional, 12 Analyst Notebook, SPSS/SAS are preferred. Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, including excellent organizational skills with little or no direct supervision.

Qualified candidate must meet appropriate background standards.

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited school or university. Additional relevant work experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above knowledge; skills and education requirements may be substituted in lieu of specific education requirements.
Three years of progressively responsible experience in a business discipline such as accounting, technical analysis, finance, or the like.
Valid Texas Driver License
Municipal government experience is a plus.

$23.96 - $27.55 Hourly
$1,916.80 - $2,204.00 Biweekly
$49,836.80 - $57,304.00 Annually
