Details:
This non-exempt position is responsible for maintaining the District’s building facilities and grounds by performing a variety of skilled and unskilled manual labor tasks and operating light-to-heavy motorized equipment.
Some duties include, but are not limited to:
• Performs a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks related to facility and grounds maintenance including but not limited to:
• Painting, light carpentry or plumbing
• Lock repair and maintenance
• Irrigation repair and maintenance
• Special landscape projects
• Fence repair
• Herbicide application to control noxious weeds

• Operates light-to-heavy equipment, for example mowers, tractors, snow plows, skid-steers, man-lifts, backhoes, forklifts and trailers, to complete such tasks as:
• Snow removal from District parking lots, roadways, and walkways
• Road grading
• Dirt removal for landscaping projects
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Moving equipment throughout the district


Qualifications:
• District Services Technician I – Zero to five years’ experience in grounds and general facilities maintenance; and operation and maintenance of fleet vehicles and light-to-heavy motorized equipment. Must have, or obtain within one year of hire, a valid Colorado Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and airbrake restriction removed.
• District Services Technician II – Minimum six years’ experience in grounds and general facilities maintenance; and operation and maintenance of fleet vehicles and light-to-heavy motorized equipment. Must be qualified on all District Services equipment within two months of hire. Must have a valid Colorado Class A CDL with airbrake restriction removed and Hazmat endorsement, or obtain Hazmat endorsement within two months of hire.
• Must have a Motor Vehicle Record within the Acceptable or no less than Borderline rating according to the Vehicle Policy.


Comments:
Salary range: $21.62 - $27.12/hour, beginning wage is dependent on prior knowledge and experience. Excellent benefits include health, dental, vision and life insurance plus retirement plan.
