Our Wastewater Treatment Facility is expanding! Located on a scenic property north of Denver that serves over 37,000 residents. We are currently looking to add new operations staff to assist with expanded functions and hours of operation as we move forward with improvements and upgrades to our plant. The primary duties include: acting as a steward to the environment and the community; effectively communicating with staff and supervisors; making daily inspections of treatment process components & equipment; monitoring plant functions through gauges, meters, control panels, and computerized monitoring systems; keeping accurate and legible logs; collecting samples from various treatment processes; performing basic laboratory tests; preparing paperwork for sample collection and delivery; cleaning screens, pipes, clarifiers, basins, and pumps; calculating flow rates and chemical dosages; calibrating chemical feed systems; performing facility and equipment preventive maintenance and repair; calibrating laboratory and field instruments and on-line monitoring equipment.

Work Schedule: Mon - Sun, 40 hours week, Rotating Shifts, including weekends and holidays. Facility is staffed from 7 am to 7:30 pm.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Requirements: This position is currently regular daytime hours, and requires working rotating weekends and holidays. Must have a State of Colorado Level A, B, C, or D Wastewater certification, or the ability to acquire one within one year. Must be capable of performing math and chemistry calculations and laboratory testing procedures. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license with a good driving record (current Motor Vehicle Record will be required from applicants selected for interviews). Selected candidate will be required to pass a background check, drug test, and physical prior to employment.

Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of SCADA, computer skills in MS Word, Excel, OP10 and/or Antero preferred. Wastewater experience is a plus. College level courses in chemistry or related fields.

Comments:
The starting salary will be commensurate with experience and current level of Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator certification as follows:
Level "A" certification - $50,981 to $55,758/year, plus excellent benefits
Level "B" certification - $45,695 to $49,977/year, plus excellent benefits
Level "C" certification - $42,199 to $46,152/year, plus excellent benefits
Level "D" certification/trainee - $38,970 to $42,624/year, plus excellent benefits
