This is a newly created position assigned to the Department of Public Safety, Office of Cyber Defense Coordination (OCDC). Under the direction of the Cyber Defense Administrator, this position serves as the Cyber Intelligence Analyst and cyber intelligence point of contact to the Nevada Threat Analysis Center, which is the State Fusion Center. The position will manage intelligence programs related to cyber security. Some of the duties include gathering, analyzing, and disseminating cyber intelligence. The position will manage identified intelligence requirements and interact with executives at the federal, state and local level, as well as interactions with private sector executives to communicate sensitive cyber intelligence information. The position will also conduct outreach with the users of cyber intelligence to assess the effectiveness of the information and services being provided; and develop strategies, plans and recommendations for policy changes. Additional duties include providing intelligence briefings to high level officials and developing and disseminating educational and sensitive cyber crimes information. **THE SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A FEDERAL SECURITY CLEARANCE AS A CONDITION OF CONTINUING EMPLOYMENT.**

Qualifications:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.

Special Notes
Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 7 years of experience of which 2 years were at the paraprofessional level and 5 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.

Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required.
This position requires up to 25% travel.

Additional Position Experience
Experience developing written assessments based on research and evaluation.
Experience researching and managing cyber intelligence.
Experience providing technical recommendations pertaining to risks and control measures.
