Parker Water and Sanitation District is accepting applications for a full-time Electrician.

JOB SUMMARY
This non-exempt position is responsible for the electrical operation, repair, maintenance and preventive maintenance of the District's water and wastewater equipment and facilities; and the installation of new electrical devices at District facilities.

Duties include, but not limited to:
• Tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies District's motors, controls, power supplies, transformers, PLC systems and other electrical equipment and components to ensure a safe, efficient and acceptable operating standards.
• Diagnoses the cause of electrical malfunctions or failures of equipment and perform repairs and conducts preventive maintenance or recommends modification or replacement of equipment.
• Coordinates the electrical and control portions of designing and implementing modifications and improvements to existing equipment and facilities with the electrical consulting engineer. Designs and completes minor electrical construction projects.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates must have three years’ experience as an electrician and experience with industrial and motor control applications. Colorado Journeyman’s License a plus. Experience with Variable Frequency Drives, Instrumentation Equipment, PLC’s, soft - start equipment and SCADA is highly desirable.

Must possess a valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to the District’s insurance company. Must be able to obtain a class “B” CDL with Hazmat endorsement within one year of being hired. Must have a Motor Vehicle Record within the Acceptable rating according to the Vehicle Policy.
