The South Adams County Water & Sanitation District (SACWSD), dedicated to providing affordable and sustainable water resources to its customers, is seeking a qualified individual for Wastewater Plant Maintenance.
This position maintains and inspects all equipment and facilities associated with the District’s wastewater treatment plant and collection system by performing corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment including but not limited to pumps, motors, blowers, drives, piping, grit removal systems, clarifiers, controls, ventilation and lighting.
In addition, this positon coordinates and completes general construction projects, landscaping tasks and grounds maintenance. This position may also coordinate with subcontractors as necessary.
Qualifications:
The qualified candidate should have a HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in construction, maintenance, utilities, or related field. Experience with electrical, mechanical & plumbing practices as well as equipment troubleshooting is necessary. HVAC or boiler experience helpful.
Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills required. Self starter, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment necessary.
Proficient computer skills required. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs frequently and work in a variety of conditions. Colorado Class D wastewater operator certification desirable.
