The Applied Data Specialist is an important team member within the Regulatory & Applied Data Programs at the Littleton/Englewood Wastewater Treatment Plant (L/E WWTP). The L/E WWTP serves a population of approximately 300,000 people, and directly impacts a diverse set of stakeholders in the South Platte River watershed by treating wastewater to improve and protect water quality in the river and downstream waterbodies. This professional is directly responsible for developing data reports, conducting statistical data analyses and maintaining databases and geospatial datasets that support decision-making by management, operations, laboratory, and strategic planning programs, as well as tracking compliance data for regulatory requirements at the L/E WWTP. The primary focus of this position is on water quality, treatment process, and environmental datasets, but other responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the organization.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics or similar field, and typically 2 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Experience:

2 – 3 years of experience required in wastewater industry, or similar regulated industry, and direct experience developing and maintaining data management systems.
