One of our optometrists, Dr. Janet Carter, is retiring, and we are looking for a motivated, professional replacement. Dr. Carter has established a full patient base and is usually booked out 1-2 weeks. She has expressed her desire to assist us with a smooth transition as you integrate yourself into our independent practice. We believe in long-term relationships, and plan to pursue a partnership after your initial employment term.
Our exam lanes are newly equipped with Zeiss digital refraction equipment. We have a fully-staffed front office to support you with comprehensive pre-exam screenings, OCT scans, Humphrey Field reports, and contact lens I&R. This is an opportunity to practice full-scope optometry in a rural setting. We will also facilitate the acquisition of your Nevada glaucoma certification.
Additionally, we have a full-service production lab with surfacing and ARC capabilities. We are upgrading to a new Schneider free-form surfacing line in May. Have an issue with an eyeglass order? Just chat with one of our Nevada-licensed opticians, and they will customize the order to your exact requirements.
Elko is not your typical Nevada city. We have wide-open spaces, four seasons, a family-oriented community, fishing, hiking, and hunting. Our two major industries are mining and ranching. We are also the home of Great Basin College. From community concerts to plays to golf tournaments, there is something to entertain nearly every weekend. Work Mondays-Fridays so that you can spend your weekends with family and friends. We offer a generous salary based on experience, profit sharing, health insurance contributions, paid vacation, paid malpractice insurance, paid license fees, and a CE allowance.
