The Town of Windsor is currently accepting applications for a qualified Water Resources Manager for our Engineering department. This is a full time, exempt/salaried position and benefit eligible. Incumbents generally work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with frequent evenings and weekends for meetings, as needed.
This position classification and role consists of highly responsible, professional, and managerial work in planning, organizing, directing, implementing and evaluating programs and activities related to Windsor’s raw water supply sources. The incumbent in the role assists in the planning and implementation of comprehensive strategies and programs for long-range development of Windsor’s water resources, including ground water and surface water development. The incumbent works in partnership with other employees, departments/divisions, agencies and the public in delivering effective and innovative services; builds productive and professional relationships with the public, as well as governmental entities and districts; and, seeks ways to integrate programs and services of several town departments, divisions and external agencies

Hiring Range: $3,095.04 to $3,868.81, bi-weekly, depending on qualifications and experience

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public policy/administration, natural science/water resources, business, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Five (5) years of progressive experience in a management or leadership role in local government, special district, water utility or other entity where familiarity and general knowledge of water rights and resources is required.
• Demonstrated experience and skill in public policy, project management, contract management and community relations required.
• Familiarity with Northern Colorado water rights is strongly desired. While experience in water resource management is desired, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform essential job functions may be considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License and safe driving record for continued employment


Comments:
Hiring Range: $3,095.04 to $3,868.81, bi-weekly, depending on qualifications and experience
Must be able to pass a background screen, including a drug test.
