We are looking for an exceptional person who possesses a strong desire to contribute to the success and mission of the Upper Thompson Sanitation District. Applications are being accepted for a full-time Collection System Operator/Trainee. The successful candidate offers a positive work mindset with a strong desire to learn and participate in an active team environment.
Desirable background includes knowledge/operation of heavy trucks and equipment, familiarity of water industry standards, and ability to work in a wide variety of weather conditions and exposure to the elements. This position requires possession of a Colorado Class B CDL, or ability to obtain within the first six months of hire. UTSD is a drug, alchohol, and tobacco free work place. Prior to employment, the successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment and substance screening, including a background investigation.
Starting pay range, including an excellent benefit package: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour, dependent on current certifications, qualifications, and experience. This is an entry-level, trainee position. However, higher level operators will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possession of Colorado Wasterwater Collection Operator Class "1" certification, or abilty to obtain within 1 year of employment.
- Possession of Colorado Class "B" CDL with tanker endorsement, or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
