As a Wastewater Treatment Plant Mechanic Specialist, you will be challenged with a rewarding career that supports our Wastewater Treatment Plant(s) by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing pumps, drives, and mechanical equipment for Colorado Springs Utilities. This position is essential to maintain the high-quality equipment used at our Wastewater Treatment facilities. Your expert mechanical knowledge will be utilized to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the treatment plant.

Qualifications:
What does it take to be successful? The successful candidate will have completed three to five years of progressively responsible mechanical and electrical experience in a commercial or industrial mechanical environment. The ideal candidate will possess this experience in the wastewater treatment or similar industry. A current State of Colorado “D” level Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification or the ability and willingness to obtain this certification within two years is preferred. Incumbent must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License upon hire.
