Metro Wastewater Reclamation District in Denver, CO - a nationally recognized leader among clean water utilities, provides wastewater conveyance and treatment services for 1.8 million people in the Denver Metro area.



Provides a wide variety of technical and administrative duties in support of the Resource Recovery and Reuse programs and activities. Works under the direction of the RR&R Administrative Specialist. May direct the work of, or provide training to clerical staff.



Typical Duties:

1. Documents/files/records

· Develops, verifies, and modifies complex documents (e.g., forms, permits, licenses, standard operating procedures, maps and reports) using M/S and other software.

· Provides summary notes from staff, department safety, METROGRO Farm and WBT meetings.

· Assists in the preparation, review and updating department documents on the internet and the District's MetroNet.

· Compiles mailing lists for permitting and newsletter mailings using various online resources.

· Assists and trains RR&R clerical staff with document coding, filing and retrieval of documents and with maintaining department file stations.

· Prepares and provides preventive maintenance schedules and material lists to the RR&R Mechanical Maintenance supervisors.



2. Provides database support, training and troubleshooting for:

· Computerized Material Management System (CMMS)

· Phoenix Fuel System; ensures new and replacement fuel cards are issued and inventory in database is maintained

· Weigh database

· Biosolids Regulatory Reporting (BRR)

· Electronic Timekeeping System (ETS)



3. Coordinates

· Offsite activities such as the METROGRO Farm Picnic, Greeley Farm Show, various local parades and other similar events. Serves as District representative at such events.

· Onsite events such as staff meetings and facility tours.

· Appropriate licensing documents from the Motor Vehicle Department.

· Fleet identification system and reporting documents. Maintains the system and issues numbers for new equipment.



4. Serves as department liaison with:

· Records Management Division

· Public Information Officer

· Information Services Division


Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school plus three years of progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience. Demonstrated expertise with computer programs, including spreadsheet, word processing, graphics, databases, and internet usage. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well independently and to interact effectively with staff and the public.



Desired Qualifications

Working knowledge of the District's operations and maintenance activities, including biosolids handling and fleet programs. Previous work experience in the environmental field.
