This position is with the Virginia Department of Corrections’(VADOC) Operations & Logistics Unit. This position is assigned to work at the Virginia Fusion Center located at Virginia State Police Headquarters, off Midlothian Turnpike, in Chesterfield, Virginia.
The Agency Management Analyst Senior is a part of the Operations & Logistics Unit (OLU) located at Department of Corrections’ Headquarters in Richmond, Virginia. Supports the agency’s organizational objective to develop and disseminate intelligence relative to the covert activities of gangs and other criminal enterprises’ illicit activities and other security threat matters that are essential in meeting this ongoing challenge. The VADOC Operations & Logistics Unit is responsible for receiving, reviewing, creating, and disseminating security threat information and intelligence that will greatly enhance the agency’s ability to meet its public safety mission.
This position provides for the collection, evaluation, and analysis of information related to criminal and/or disruptive behavior in an effort to address, anticipate, prevent, or monitor any such behavior or activities. Reviews various databases for situational awareness and makes entries in automated information systems. Through analysis, produces reports, charts, and graphs for projects and investigations and develops visual presentations. Collaborates with DOC staff and others to receive, obtain, and disseminate information concerning threats to the safety, security, and orderly operation of DOC correctional facilities and/or the community at large.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License. Experience in corrections, law enforcement or related research and analysis coupled with the ability to distribute information through database and programs for agency wide utilization. Working knowledge of the intelligence cycle and the active collaboration process. Working knowledge of analytical application programs and software to produce maps, text, tables, graphs, and charts. Working knowledge of researching, writing, publishing and presenting analytical products. Working knowledge of gangs and other security threat groups. Working knowledge of automated offender management databases and/or other information technology systems utilized in a corrections, criminal justice, and/or law enforcement environment. Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to diverse information sets to produce logic based-based analysis and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to obtain and categorize intelligence-related information and materials. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and representatives both internally and externally.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in Computer Science, Criminal Justice, a related field, or equivalent applicable experience and education. Prefer fluency in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.

Salary: $40,153 - $77,074
