Organization: The Oakland County Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (OC CISMA) is a partnership in Oakland County, Michigan working to cooperatively manage invasive species. The partnership includes approximately 30 local, county, state, and federal government agencies; education institutions; and non-profit organizations.

Position: The Coordinator is a full-time leadership position that provides oversight and support for all CISMA projects. Duties include writing grants; grant management; planning and leading monthly Steering Committee meetings; development and implementation of education and outreach; cooperative invasive species control; early detection/rapid response; data management; partner communication; and supervision of other CISMA employees. A strong willingness to learn, lead, work independently and inclusively (team coordination) is necessary. The Coordinator reports to the OC CISMA Executive Committee, and is an employee of Six Rivers Land Conservancy, the OC CISMA fiduciary.


Qualifications:
Must possess experience with project management; writing and administering state, federal, and private grants; developing budgets; supervising staff and volunteers; and invasive species policy, management, and planning across political boundaries. Must possess an awareness of conservation issues as they relate to invasive species management; able to identify plant and animal species; able to use GIS software; skill in data collection and management; possess a willingness to obtain additional training; possess an ability to perform physical work in harsh conditions and inclement weather; and able to work under minimal supervision. Must provide own transportation to various meeting locations. Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
