Golder has a new opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team on a full time basis. The successful candidate will be working at the Questa Mine Water Treatment Plant near Questa, NM.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

* With the Lead Operators and Site HES Representative, form the Site Project Management team for the Questa Mine Water Treatment Plant (WTP) near Questa, New Mexico.

* Supervise, organize and coordinate the daily operations and maintenance of the WTP with staff to meet work goals; ensure site activities are in compliance with laws, policies, regulations and goals; demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes; respond to requests for information, and provide technical support and information to site staff within scope of experience.

*Supervise assigned site staff; meet regularly with site staff to resolve workload and technical issues; prioritize and assign tasks and projects; assist Golder project management with training and evaluating staff; monitor site staff work and safety performance and provide instruction on work / safety preformance improvement as needed; ensure staff adhere to policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

* Provide input into plans for plant / process improvement.

* Direct maintenance staff for ordering and maintaining parts and supply inventories; assist Lead Operators with ordering process and laboratory chemicals and supplies.

* Inspect plant processes, equipment, analyze instrument readings and laboratory data; participate in decisions on plant process operation; prepare monthly reports for review by Project Manager.

* Assist the Site Health Environment and Safety representative with site personnel safety training.

* Assist the Site Health Environment and Safety Representative with ensuring OSHA compliance and safe practices are being followed by staff.
* Assist maintenance staff with the preventive maintenance program as needed; ensure equipment needing repair remains isolated until repaired.

* Conducts tours of the treatment plant and other facilities.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a background in:

* Candidate must have at least two years experience managing operations and maintenance (O&M) staff at wastewater treatment plants or similar facilities. Candidate must have at least two additional years of (O&M) work at wastewater treatment plants or similar facilities. Associates degree or higher degree with emphasis on business management, cost accounting, safety systems or human resources is a definite plus.

* Candidate must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot wastewater treatment process or similar automated process systems.

* Candidate must have an excellent understanding of Health and Safety practices and mechanical aptitude is a must. Experience with Chevron Health, Environment and Safety Management (CHESM) and Operational Excellence (OE) processes is a definite plus.

* Candidate must be willing to work night shifts, weekends, and Holidays as necessary. Candidate may need to work 12 hour shifts (AM and/or PM) and extra time as necessary.

* Candidate must be willing to locate to reasonable commuting distance from the job site at the Questa Mine, near Questa New Mexico. No relocation assistance will be offered at this time.

* The candidate must be able to attain a 40-hour OSHA HAZWoper certificate or have a current certificate.

* Candidate will be required to wear safety equipment / PPE as appropriate for job tasks including fall protection, respiratory protection, and chemical safety equipment.

* Candidate will be required to perform moderate physical activity; ability to lift and carry items weighing up to forty (40) pounds; crawling, bending, climbing, kneeling, squatting and working in confined spaces as necessary.
