The Pumping Utility Supervisor will supervise, monitor, and coordinate the activities of a crew of skilled, semi-skilled, and/or unskilled workers engaged in the operation, maintenance, and repair of water pumping facilities and infrastructure at raw water, potable water, reuse water, stormwater, and wastewater facilities. Prepare reports documenting field work performed and the completion of compliance activities. Evaluate and train all field personnel.

Plans, assigns, monitors, and coordinates the work activities of assigned crew
Resolves problems and conflicts arising during the course of the work
Prepares productivity and activity reports
Reports and investigates accidents
Assists in preparing and recommending equipment specifications
Maintains records on and makes recommendations concerning materials, manpower, and equipment used
Maintains the maintenance management and compliance computer programs
Maintains and enforces safety regulations and procedures
Coordinates preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Responsible for work in progress for conformance to standards
Takes charge for maintaining assigned pump and lift stations
Has experience troubleshooting complex electrical, mechanical, and system problems
Makes recommendations regarding selection, hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining of assigned employees
Supervises assigned employees
Ensures all City, State, and Federal regulatory standards are met
Performs additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:
At least 5 years' progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of the water pump and sewer lift stations and construction
1 year of supervisory or lead worker experience

Knowledge:
Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and operating procedures utilized in the water pump station, sewer lift station, and potable tank operation and maintenance
Hazards and safety practices common to the machinery and equipment utilized

Ability to work call back and emergency response

Licenses or Certifications Required:
Colorado Driver's License with a good driving history
Colorado Level III Water Distribution Certificate and Colorado Collection I Certificate
Or Colorado Level III Collection Certificate and a Colorado Distribution Level I Certificate
Or the ability to attain required certification within six months
