Details:
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties in the supervision, operation and maintenance of waterworks distribution system to ensure adequate water supply for human consumption and irrigation. Functions as ORC for Districts distribution system. Expected to both supervise field crew and contribute as field crew member. Hiring range is 60-70K depending on experience and full benefits package including medical/dental/vision and paid vacation and sick time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Supervises field operations crew member(s).
Tracks and manages field operations budgets
Performs routine maintenance and repair work including a variety of general clean-up work.
Repairs and/or installs water meters and services distribution lines,valves, pumps and fire hydrants.
May be required to operate machinery including backhoe, pipeline locators, valve turner, and pumps.
Cleans and maintains pumping station equipment.
Provides customer service while responding to on-site requests from public. Posts general notices and non-payment notices on properties within the
District; turns water services off and on as required.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisor(s) and the public.
Performs infrastructure locates
Inspect new residential and commercial construction
Familiar with Microsoft office software and basic computer skills for other software as required.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates degree in water quality management or related field highly desirable. Experience with water line repair and water distribution systems. Experience locating infrastructure using UNCC locate system. Colorado Water Distribution Operator Class 2 license required, Class 3 or 4 a plus. Valid Colorado Driver’s license.
Comments:
Work weekends and on call hours as workload requires. Ability to respond to after-hour emergencies within a timely fashion. Must be able to pass a to pass drug test. Please see attached file for further information.
