Details:
Under supervision, performs skilled work in the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant on an assigned shift. Work is performed with considerable independence within established guidelines and procedures, with the incumbent expected to make routine changes in the operation of the plant. Assignments are received in either written or oral form, usually in daily or weekly schedules or special assignments. Work is evaluated by inspection, review of reports, conferences, for condition of facilities, adherence to standards, and efficiency of operations. Performs other work as required..

Hiring Range (Dependent on Water Operator Certification Level & experience):
Operator A: $24.49-$28.16 per hour
Operator B: $22.64-$26.04 per hour
Operator C: $20.13-$23.15 per hour
Operator D: $18.61-$21.40 per hour
Trainee: $17.21-$19.79 per hour

Qualifications:
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by technical training in water plant operations; one year previous experience in the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
