Job Details
Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) invites applications, nominations and expressions of interest in the position of Vice Chancellor & Chief Academic Officer.

PASSHE is the largest provider of higher education and one of the largest employers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, generating more than $6.7 billion annually in economic activity and supporting about 62,000 external jobs statewide. With a combined enrollment of approximately 100,000 students, the State System's universities award more than 26,000 degrees each year. In addition to the 14 main campuses, these universities operate four branch campuses, two multi-university centers, and a host of other individual campus centers, many of which offer customized job training to meet the specific needs of business and industry.

After a year long, top-to-bottom review of system strategies, the PASSHE Board of Governors in 2017 affirmed “ensuring student success” as their number one priority. To help lead a transformation of the State System, newly appointed Chancellor Dan Greenstein established the CAO position. The CAO serves on the Chancellor’s executive leadership team and plays a critical role in helping to transform the Office of the Chancellor (OOC) into a trusted, data-driven and client-focused source of innovation support, expertise, and collaboration—designed to enable universities to drive nimbly, fast, and effectively towards sustainable student success.

The chosen candidate will bring strong leadership in the development of a data-driven and analytical culture that will be essential in positioning PASSHE to advance in academics, student success, and service and to provide extraordinary educational opportunities at an exceptional value.
