Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (GCSOM) is searching for a project manager. The project manager supports initiatives under the umbrella of the vice president for strategy and planning and reports to the director of the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness (OIRPE). This position will work closely with the vice president for strategy and planning and the vice president for academic affairs at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (GCSOM) and Education at Geisinger to expand the scope of activities in accreditation, assessment, evaluation and the tracking of students/learners and continuous improvement processes across all education activities in Geisinger. This position will, from time to time, work closely with the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine President’s Cabinet and Education at Geisinger Leadership (EGL) in the coordination of planning, strategic initiatives and project implementation. This position provides coordination, planning, business analysis, resource collaboration and overall project management for a broad range of education-related projects and initiatives. This position also requires periodic contact with vice presidents, vice deans, associate deans, faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders in program or project implementation, managing deadlines, aligning to budgets, instilling accountability and preparing reports for assigned projects. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field is required, in addition to a minimum of three years experience in project management. Strong project-management skills; experience meeting aggressive timelines; management of budgets; experience with agency or vendor management; and strong computer skills (spreadsheets, databases, and word processing) are required. A self-starter who can work independently with little supervision and as part of a team; excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills; demonstrated experience working within a distributed team environment; knowledge of systems development and processes used in the design, development and delivery of training programs online and face-to-face; experience with business intelligence tools, such as Qualtrics, MS Power BI, Tableau, IBM Cognos, SPSS, NVIVO; strong grasp of statistical tools, the basics of business analytics and an ability to interpret and present data; significant experience in the higher education industry; experience with student learning outcomes assessment; training and/or experience with the use of data mining; highly competent writer and an effective verbal communicator; working knowledge of predictive modeling and model verification; resource development experience; experience with integrated marketing campaigns, digital marketing, and marketing technology; and experience with project management software are all preferred.
