Assistant Director of Assessment Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (GCSOM) is searching for an Assistant Director of Assessment. The Assistant Director of Assessment is responsible to conduct assessment related activities within Academic Affairs, including statistical analysis and support for medical education research activities. This position will report to the Associate Dean for Education Administration and will be responsible for scheduling all evaluations related to the MD1, MD2, and graduate programs curriculum; scheduling various evaluations in support of the MD3 and MD4 curriculum as assigned by the Senior Education Specialist; data analysis using Microsoft Excel, SPSS, NVivo, or other data tools; analysis of academic program assessment and evaluation data; provide support for data entry or other curriculum mapping and assessment activities required by accrediting bodies; assist in developing and generating reports for Academic Affairs to support accreditation activities related to educational programming; assist in the administration of One45, MedHub, and current GCSOM educational databases; and provide course directors statistical analysis and consultation on examination questions using methods of item response theory. A master’s degree in mathematics, epidemiology, statistics, economics, education, higher education administration or equivalent in addition to a minimum three years’ experience in statistical analysis, assessment, and evaluation of programs or equivalent is required. A Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical programs such as SPSS, SAS or Epilnfo is required. A high level of comfort with complex statistical analysis, both qualitative and quantitative, and experience with curriculum and assessment at the post-secondary level is preferred Please apply online at www.geisinger.org.
