Job Details

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Manage and coordinate all aspects of an annual cycle of surveys including the development of online survey instruments, survey administration, analysis of results, and communication of findings through written reports.

2. Support Strategic Planning, Assessment, and Accreditation efforts through by serving as the informatics coordinator for the following software platforms, Strategic Planning On-Line (SPOL), SmartEvals, SurveyMonkey, and Wufoo.

3. Coordinate survey research at the College including both in-house research projects using SurveyMonkey and Wufoo, as well as external survey research projects.

4. Manage the yearly creation of the annual Fact Book, the interactive-online Fact Book, and other modes of data delivery.

5. Develop statistical reports and analyses using a data analysis platform such as SAS or SPSS.

6. Manage research projects and studies on such topics as graduate follow-up, program evaluations, demographic studies, student performance at transfer institutions, and related areas.

7. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of student, staff, and client records.

8. Perform other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree.

2. Two years of experience working in an office of Institutional Effectiveness, Institutional Research, or Assessment at an institution of higher education.

3. Experience with developing, administering, and analyzing online surveys at an institution of higher education

4. Excellent writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate quantitative data in written form

5. The ability to orally communicate quantitative data to constituents with varying levels of statistical expertise

6. Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

7. Excellent interpersonal skills.

8. Experience working effectively with diverse academic, staff and student populations as well as external constituents

9. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Recommended Qualifications

1. Master’s degree in the Social Sciences, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related area.

2. Experience writing queries and reports using syntax in a statistical platform such as SAS/SQL or SPSS.

3. Experience with SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, or other similar online survey platforms.
