- The Research Analyst assists the Director with the collection, management, and dissemination of institutional data. The Analyst’s responsibilities include compiling and preparing data for federal and state reporting, creating and updating internal institutional research (IR) reports, and supporting ad hoc reporting requests. The Research Analyst must work closely with other offices across all campuses of the College to support data needs relating to accreditation reports, grant proposals, assessment of student learning, strategic planning, administration of surveys, and other projects or studies involving the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research (OAIR).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant research experience (managing data files, analyzing data, creating reports) in graduate school program, employment, or combination of the two.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in an analytic discipline is preferred.
Two (2) years of experience preferably in a higher education setting, especially in Institutional Research or Assessment.
Experience with relational databases, data warehousing, and related reporting tools.
Familiarity with and experience using relevant data sources for benchmarking, such as NCES/IPEDS data and reports.
REQUIRED SKILLS- Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Experience managing and manipulating data sets.
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop written reports, analysis, and visual presentations that are appropriate to their intended audience.
- Knowledge of survey design and analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and to meet deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficiency with one or more statistical analysis software applications (SPSS, SAS, R, KNIME, RapidMiner, etc).
- Excellent computer/technology skills, including the ability to quickly learn a web-based assessment system, a data warehouse reporting tool, and online survey management systems. Advanced skills in MS Office suite products (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
