Job Details
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
 
  1. Coordinate data collection and analysis for college wide assessment cycles to include direct and indirect measures
  2. Coordinate AES Unit and Academic Program goal and objective setting tied to the strategic plan and assist and train campus community developing assessment plans
  3. Provide accurate data and analysis regarding the institution for IPEDS, Common Data Set, AICUP, MSCHE, and internal or external institutional data requests
  4. Develop and conduct survey research in response to institutional needs
  5. Utilize accurate statistical procedures and sampling techniques for institutional research projects to assure high levels of confidence and reliability to results
  6. Develop statistical models to measure impact of learning support services on student achievement of intended learning outcomes
  7. Provide research and assessment training to campus community
  8. Conduct institutional research in support of the college decision makers in the areas of planning, institutional effectiveness, program evaluation and accreditation
  9. Communicate with appropriate college faculty, staff, in analysis, compilation and interpretation of data
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS: 
  1. Ability to maintain confidential
  2. Understand and appreciate the dynamics of interpersonal relationships when dealing with students, faculty, administration, associates, and the public.
  3. Proficient with statistical and survey software packages
  4. Excellent communication, collaboration, customer service, and training expertise
  5. Microsoft Office skills
  6. Keen attention to detail
 
 
EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
 
EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years’ experience in a higher education environment preferably in Institutional Research or Institutional Effectiveness.  Previous MSCHE ALO and self-study experience preferred.
