The Coordinator of Institutional and Learning Assessment will provide direction in designing and implementing evaluation and assessment systems and programs, emphasizing learning outcomes assessment; supporting university accreditation efforts, and fostering a “culture of evidence- based assessment” across the university. Through results of assessment practices, the Coordinator assists campus departments to monitor progress and make improvements and also identifies avenues for exploration, frames issues, and provides information to campus administrators and senior management about institutional effectiveness and progress in achieving university goals. The Coordinator will guide the campus in remaining compliant with requirements for public accountability and accreditation with regards to Assessment. The Coordinator will maintain an inventory of institutional surveys and produce an annual learning assessment report to summarize the assessment efforts with particular emphasis on tracking academic and student service units’ measurement of progress towards identified outcomes.
